A Brief
History
In 1976 God laid it in the heart of a group of Christian students of Nupe extraction at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria of the need to support to churches and evangelism in Nupeland of Nigeria. To be sure of what God wanted them to do the students came together for a number of evenings to pray fervently in the University Chapel. The Lord revealed to the group the need for committed leadership for the evangelism in Nupeland and to faithfully abide by the Holy Spirit inspired Fellowship. There was an urgent need at the time to support the work of evangelism in the face of the realization of the dwindling number of both the foreign and the indigenous missionary workers in the Nupeland, North and South of the River Niger. Consequently, Nupe Christian Fellow International (NCFI) was established in 1976 by the undergraduate students, under the auspices of some lecturers and administrators of the Ahmadu Bello University, that is, Dr. Jacob Baba, Dr. Jeremiah Gana and Mrs. Mary Gogo Tebu. As a non-denominational and a non-profit organization, the purpose of the Fellowship is to cater for the Christian spiritual needs of all Nupe people.
In early 1977 the Fellowship was launched, with the following officials elected for its administration: Prof. Jacob M. Baba (Chairman), Prof. Jeremiah A. Gana (Deputy Chairman), Mr. Barnabas Yisa (General Secretary), Mr. Stephen S. Kolo (Treasurer), Mr. Jacob G. Tsado (Asst. Secretary).
Today the Fellowship has become international and continues to grow and expand, with Branches in several cities and towns in Nigeria and Nupes in Diaspora. To achieve its mission and vision the Fellowship expands its activities, in addition to evangelism and spiritual well-being, to social responsibilities and support to the growth and development of young people.

Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray. Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. James 5: 13 - 15
OPERATIONS & PROJECTS COMMITEE CHAIRMEN
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12: 4 - 8
